With the presence of Network Marketing continuing to grow around the world, I am also seeing the rise of Network Marketing haters.

So firstly, congratulations!!!

Congrats on being part of a profession that is transforming so many lives that it is being talked about in so many different ways.

Usually, receiving hateful comments or messages is a sign you’re doing something right and making an impact that others are jealous of.

With social media becoming a big part of peoples’ lives, many look for a way to get attention, clicks and traffic in the hope to build their own business, sell their products or have people sign up to their membership.

What should you do when you get a hater comment?

There are two ways:

  • Kill them with kindness
  • Starve them with silence

I would recommend killing with kindness.

What haters don’t realise is that with more comments comes more reach. Also, the more thought and time spent on the comment the more reach that post can get.

Now imagine you reply to the hateful comment asking a question…

…You now have 2 comments. It’s all going to help.

What should you do when a hater sends you a message?

This depends on your level of mindset, but usually I recommend blocking them and moving on.

Don’t waste your time or energy on someone who has likely created a new account with a fake photo to try and bring you down.

Over the years I’ve received hate simply for helping others, strange. But this quote has massively helped me:

“When people hurt you over and over, think of them like sandpaper. They may scratch and hurt you a bit, but in the end, you end up polished and they end up useless.”

What should you do when someone attacks you, your company or the profession?

I am a great believer in standing up for the things you love and believe in.

For me this is my name, family, close friends and the Network Marketing profession.

I wouldn’t bring attention to a specific video on YouTube or social media post, article or anything similar. But make people aware that with things that get so much love will also come with things that get a lot of hate.

When prospects Google your company name and see negative videos or articles you can feel that it’s damaging your chances of success.

But remember…

People tend to join you based on a few different reasons:

  1. They feel there is more in it for them, than for you
  2. They believe you believe in what you’re selling or promoting
  3. They feel they can do it and it’ll be worth it.

The wrong people will use the negative resource as an excuse not to do the business.

The right people won’t care but might ask you for your perspective on the negativity.

Most of the time these articles are hooking people in and then selling something in the article anyway, there are always agendas.

Continue to make a difference, serve others, help your fellow humans, and block out the noise from the haters.

You’ve got this!
